A new addition to our family

We have added another member to our family. Sporting her Dandy Doggy Duds for the holidays is Mira (said like Mir, the space station, plus ah). She is just over six weeks old. Mira is shepherd/husky/border collie and such a joy!

Well, November isn't even half over yet, but I thought I'd add my December events now.

December 5-6, 2008: Dickens on the Square

Some local home-based businesses are getting together in the Monet's Garden building, 116 N Side Square, in Macomb to help celebrate Macomb's annual Dickens on the Square. Enjoy the caroling, period costumes, and great shopping on the square!

This is a great fund-raiser for the school. Come see what they have there!

October 2008

Sorry I didn't post this earlier... The first two weekends of October (October 4-5 and 11-12) is the wonderful and exciting Spoon River Valley Scenic Drive. I'm set up in Farmington, IL's Reed Park on the south side of the park. If you're standing with your back to the porta-potties (southeast corner of the park), look to your left and I'll be the third vendor in a green tent (first two are larger white tents). There are some wonderful crafters there! Oh and some awesome food, too!

Hope to see you there! Please take a moment to stop by and say hi while you're in the park!

Due to a scheduling change, I will not be at the McDonough County Humane Society's Bark in the Park which is October 11th this year. This event was previously held later in the month so I had already made a commitment to Spoon River Drive. I'm sorry that I won't be there. Maybe next year!

Labor Day Weekend 2008

Labor Day comes early this year. Come see us Saturday, August 30 through Monday, September 1 at the park in Colchester, IL. We'll be set up in the southeast corner of the park in town (not at the lake), behind the concession shelter.

June 2008

Meet us at Heritage Days in Macomb, IL. We'll be set up Friday, June 27th from 12pm until 8pm. Then on Saturday, June 28th we'll open up after the parade (around 10:30am) until 8pm. This event is so much fun! Come by and say hello!

April and May 2008 Events

On April 26-27, 2008, we will be at the Sandburg Mall in Galesburg, IL. Saturday 10:00 am - 9:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 - 5:00 pm. What a fun event this will be!

On May 4th, we will be at the MIP Arts & Craft Fair, Ericksen Chevrolet-Buick Center in Milan, IL, 7:oo am - 4:00 pm. This event should be a lot of fun, too!

Come visit us and visit the other vendors as well.

March 29, 2008 - Canton Cares Showcase at Canton High School in Canton, IL. 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Canton Cares Showcase is a craft and vendor fair benefiting Meals on Wheels and Love Inc. We're proud to be part of this event!

Tawyna was a wonderful woman who lost her battle with cancer on December 17, 2007. Please join us this week in raising money for the care of her three young children. Although I didn't know Tawnya well, she taught me to cherish each day with my husband and children.

We're out there!

If you get the Macomb Eagle, then you were able to read our story on Wednesday, January 9, 2008. They did a great job telling everyone about our new business venture.

We're so excited that Dandy Doggy Duds can now be found at The Pet Connection on the west side of Macomb, IL! Gina is in the process of setting up a display of Dandy Doggy Duds as well as collars for those who may want a new one for their pet.

February 9-10, 2008 - WIU Western Hall at the Agricultural Mechanization Show, Macomb, IL. This is the largest student run farm show in the country! We'll be upstairs in the craft area. Free admission.

Welcome to a new year! I believe 2008 will be filled with great things! Dandy Doggy Duds started as a hobby, something of my own design to pamper my pooch. Well there are other pets in this world that deserve some basic pampering. Just a little bandana with some personality is sometimes all it takes.
